Since our establishment in 1898, we at Dakota Supply Group have worked hard at building our reputation as a full-line electrical, communications and mechanical distributor, known for state-of-the-art products, experienced employees, personal service, and a total quality management approach to every transaction from beginning to end. As an employee-owned business, we have that unique personal quality which is often hard to find in today's business world. At Dakota Supply Group, our suppliers and customers are thought of as business partners. Dakota Supply Group's corporate headquarters are located in Fargo, North Dakota, with warehouses in Fargo, Grand Forks, Bismarck, Minot and Williston in North Dakota and Aberdeen, Sioux Falls, Mitchell, Pierre and Rapid City, South Dakota. The October, 2003 acquisition of Barber Electric Supply, with branches in Brooklyn Park and St Paul, moved DSG into the state of Minnesota. Finally, the addition of a branch in Benson, MN brought the total number of branches to 14 as of 2006.
Together, our diversified company offers 250 lines and 25,000 products. We can also design and build electrical control systems, and assist in the design of sewage and water system pumping, hydronic and domestic hot water systems, and many other problem-solving applications. With our modern computerized inventory and processing system, we can provide our customers with same-day service by processing, packaging and shipping an order within minutes of a phone call or fax.
Because of today's rapid changes in our product lines and technology, we realize the importance of continuing education. Our employees participate in training sessions and seminars to stay on top of changes in product technology. This valuable knowledge is then utilized to better serve our customers' needs.
